On Saturday, May 14,
members of the Democratic Club of Bonita Springs
and South Lee County volunteered their support to the Fair Elections
Committee and solicited petition signatures at both the South County
and Bonita Springs Libraries. Preliminary counts suggest that 170
signatures were obtained. Thanks go to Martha Simons, Bill
Simons, and
Larry Jackson at South Lee County Library and to Bob Calloway, Mary Ann
Kilgannon, and Jim Watson at the Bonita Springs Library.
With luck, we can complete 200 petitions during the Club meeting on May
