Democratic Club of Bonita Springs and South Lee County
Agenda:  February 13, 21, and 22, 2006

As part of our "All Politics is Local" program, we're going to have 3 field trips for our February meeting!  There will be NO regular meeting of the Club this month.

As you know, the Bonita Springs Municipal Election is scheduled for March 7.  As part of the preparations for this election, there will be several Candidate Forums. 

The first is sponsored by the League of Women Voters on Monday, February 13.  It will be held at the YMCA on the south side of East Terry east of I75.  It will start at 6 and run 'til 8 pm.  -  Thanks to all of you who were able to attend this event.  It went well.

There will be another Candidate Form sponsored by the News-Press on our regular meeting date, Tuesday, February 21.  It will be held at 6:30 pm in the Community Hall under the banyan tree on Old 41 across from the park in old Bonita.  Please note the change in location.  You are all urged to attend this field trip of the Club!

The next Candidate Forum is sponsored by the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce.  It will be held in the WCI Community Room located at 24311 Walden Center Drive, Bonita Springs, Wednesday, February 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Although the Chamber's web site page - Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce - says elected officials  have been invited, I have been assured when I called that all candidates were invited.  I would suggest that each of you who can attend call the Chamber at 992-2943 and register (free) for the Candidate Forum.

Our Club member, Martha Simons, is running for the District 5 seat on the City Council.  These events will be good opportunities to hear what's going on and lend your support.  See you there!
